Herman Rolfers

Director Global Digital HR Transformation, Heineken

I am an optimist, a leader of change and a driver of digital transformation. My work focuses on solving the complex problems that businesses face in today's transformative times.

As the Global Director Digital HR Transformation at The HEINEKEN Company, I am driven by innovation. I lead and deliver global digital programmes with creativity and strategic thinking, to help the business change and adapt for the future. People are at the heart of my decision-making, ensuring that HEINEKEN staff are empowered to thrive, grow and succeed.

Our two key strategic pillars are ‘Become the Best Connected Brewer’ and ‘Unlock the Full Potential of our People and the Organisation’. Ultimately, we want to give HEINEKEN staff the same high-quality digital user experience as we provide our customers and consumers.

Since 2018, I have led one of HEINEKEN’s most successful digital business transformation programmes to date – the overhaul and modernisation of our digital HR technology. We have enhanced the employee experience for our 85,000+ staff in 75 operating companies worldwide. Using one global platform, they each have the tools at their fingertips to take charge of their own careers, including personalised learning and development initiatives. We constantly assess how we become more people-focused and insights-led using technology and data.

I have been proud to lead the HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse initiatives, which brings tech players and industry disruptors from around the globe together to design solutions to HR challenges and help HEINEKEN reimagine the future of work. We have seen a whirlwind of innovation, thought-provoking concepts and powerful insights from all participants. The HR Brewhouse has already delivered lasting and impactful change for the HEINEKEN digitisation mission.

Digital transformation to me is a long-term business enabler. We provide our people with the enhanced tools they need to succeed, which in turn helps HEINEKEN to be the best connected global brewer anytime, anywhere all the time
